How to apply

Potential students are welcome to apply for a PhD or Master of Science degree program with the School. In order to streamline the application procedure and promote a transparent process, this howto document is prepared as a terse guideline. It should assist you to streamline your efforts. The following is a set of general guidelines:

 

1.

Ensure that you firstly meet the University requirements, such as English for international student. Then, check whether you meet the SIT entry requirements  for your choice of research program.

2.

Determine your area of research interests.

3.

Visit the relevant website for the research groups.

4.

Identify a potential supervisor from the related research group, and get his/her approval on the supervision and the topic of research.

5.

Apply using the standard university application form before the deadline for the chosen semester.  See below.


Applying for PhD study - Local Students

Application forms for PhD study for Australian and New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents can be printed from here.

Once completed the forms and supporting documentation should be sent to:

Applying - International Students

If you are an international student, there are 2 methods of applying to the University. You may apply direct to the University or through a University representative

Note that International students must also satisfy English language requirements.
